Fun Day @ Kandawgyi Park

The 12th March marks the birthday of Laminthar "The Lady Moon."  To celebrate this occasion, we had a fun day at the Kandawgyi Park in Yangon.  Over 40 people, many of whom are the children with special needs from the Kyaik Waing School, joined the fun.  We took many pictures, enjoyed snacks from Lotteria and walked around the park.Happy Birthday Laminthar!  Thank you!

Dan Pauk for special care children

On the 6th anniversary of passing of Laminthar, 'Dan Pauk' (Biryani rice) and refreshment for lunch were served to 63 special needs children and 18 teachers  at the Kyaik Waing Disabled Children Care Center in Yangon on 6 June 2013.  The event was also supported by the staff of Fifth Avenue Luxury Boutique and it created an enjoyable moment for the children.

Kyaik Waing Disabled Children Care Center

“Kyaik Waing Disabled Children Care Center” is located at the Kyaik Waing, near the 8th Mile Junction in Yangon. The main purpose is to provide support for the children with special needs. The main services offered at the center are: day care, health care, education, and physical therapy for the children. There are about 63 children (38 boys and 25 girls) with special needs. That includes a few months old baby to twenty plus old young adults.

Establishment of the Laminthar Foundation

The Laminthar Foundation was founded on this date - 6 June 2007.  It is an organization that specifically dedicated to children with special needs under five years of age.  In keeping with this focus, our associates and volunteers get involved with and support projects and activities.
